Throughhout the year, there is one service at 10 a.m. Except for the summer months,
Sunday School begins at 10 a.m. with the students attending the first part of the service,
which normally includes songs for the children, the prayer of the day, the gospel lesson, and a brief
children's sermon on the gospel lesson. Students then go to their classes.
Holy Communion is celebrated on the first and third and fifth Sundays of the
month, and on Festival Sundays.
In 2010, there was one candlelight service beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve
preceded by a carol sing beginning at 6:30 p.m. If you did not get there for the carol sing, you found a full nave by service time.
There was no service on Christmas Day to allow everyone to enjoy family time remembering Jesus's birth.
In 2011,
Christmas Day falls on a Sunday. Watch this space for changes and times.
Easter Day was on Sunday, 24 April, 2011 and began with Easter Breakfast served by Church Council
at 9:00 a.m., an Easter Egg hunt for the children, and our Easter Service at 10:00 a.m.
Sunday May 8 is Mother's Day.

Music is an important part of the worship life of the congregation. Martin Luther stated that
"Next to the Word of God, the noble art of music is the greatest treasure in the world."
Our organist, pianist, choir leader and occasional soloist Barry Hawkins has been welcomed and enthusiastically received
at Bethany. Barry is a native of Woodstock and some of us older members may remember Barry selling and delivering appliances
from Hawkins Appliances on Dundas Street - a family business.
An experienced chef, merchandiser, and singer, Barry has provided organ and piano accompaniment to many churches
in Oxford County for nearly 20 years.
Join us on Sunday mornings for worship with Pastor Sara, violinist Barry S. organist Barry H. and our renowned choir
and find out about the exciting things happening at Bethany in 2011.
